Fans from around the world supported the project BÓLIDO X on Kickstarter and Indiegogo with their advance orders; with their help, our ambitious plan to construct and to build this new, exiting collection is now financed and well underway.

BÓLIDO X: Adding functions to a remarkable design

To incorporate additional new case parts such as a rotating bezel and the case back without compromising the archetypal basic Bólido form was no easy task.
Slightly larger and equipped with a timer or a slide rule scale, this new Bólido generation has kept its identity in spite that everything, including proportions and sizes, needed to be changed.

In fact, the dimensional differences are hardly noticeable even when holding a Bólido X prototype next to a current Bólido. The rotating bezel with the attractive new functions blends in seamlessly as if cast from one mould. The diamond-cut knurl underscores the impression of precision that is found in instruments of
the highest quality.

The new Bólido X models radiate a sovereignty and competence that only but a few icons of watchmaking history have managed to achieve.

Bólido X Log

Only few watch brands have defied the challenges of incorporating a slide-ruler disk to their timepieces. To achieve accurate performance, this demands a particularly high level of mechanical precision in the casemaking.

Bólido X CD

With identical construction, the Bólido X CD is graphically different; its scale shows a previously set remaining time, think of parking meter, meetings, diving, etc.
Practical and intuitively fast: Turn the scale so that the time you have chosen coincides with the position of the minute hand; the arrow on the bezel now indicates the end of the countdown. The last 15 minutes (these are particularly important, for example in sailing regattas) are highlighted in colour.

COSC Chronometer Certification

The one way to further enhance a product that already has received the best technical and artisanal attention of highly competent professionals would be an official and neutral certification of COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres)

This coveted certification is awarded to an individually numbered movement after it has successfully passed an independent, 14-day inspection-sequence of precision and reliability in high and low temperatures as well as in 5 different positions (it helps that all Bólido movements are factory-tested in the same
5 positions by default).

Bólido X Chronometers are painstakingly built by senior watchmakers in a separate department, where every assembly step is carefully documented. Instead of an arbitrary serial number, the same COSC number on the movement is individually engraved into the case back. The dial is additionally printed «Certified Swiss Chronometer COSC». Finally, every Bólido X chronometer is accompanied with an original document issued by the COSC.
Only 6% of the entire Swiss watch production are certified chronometers.
